I remember having lots of mind-bending dilemmas on how to classify material at the African Studies Library where I used to work. Spending ages trying to find the right terms - and thinking at the end that they still didn't bit the bill - and that there was a big gap somewhere.Clarehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16817234480075827520noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5223105587067585314.post-27009286582008596272010-06-29T07:43:00.001-07:002010-07-15T04:55:29.328-07:00TwitterI do have my own Twitter account with a total of 6 followers - and I see I have not posted anything onto it for 9 months. I have now started following a few other people from Cam23. I will use it from my phone - that will be a better way to continueClarehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16817234480075827520noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5223105587067585314.post-12181380075197789562010-06-24T04:43:00.000-07:002010-06-24T04:51:21.172-07:00Thing 6We use a shared calendar for the library office - Kalender - one of Thunderbirds add-ons. And for personal things, reminders etc I use the thunderbird Calendar and tasks. The google calendar looks nicer - I may start using it - but then I have all my regular monthly and weekly reminders on Thunderbird.<div><br /></div><div>On a more interesting note, I followed Npage's guide to finding out who has been visiting your blog. Created yet another user name and password. Wow, I now have so many passwords and user names - although I generally use the same password- there must be a better way - thumb prints maybe. At least this latest one just asks for user name and password - Virgin money is the worst offender in this - username, password, passcode, - then they ask for the 2nd, 6th and 9th letter of your memorable name - so you are trying to see your memorable name in your head, what is the 9th letter? - and I just wanted to quickly login to see how much I spent on my credit card last month.<div><br /></div>Clarehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16817234480075827520noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5223105587067585314.post-26149476307474871962010-06-10T09:29:00.000-07:002010-07-15T04:53:29.763-07:00Looking at other blogging sitesVery impressed by the variety - lots of creative people out there. As this type of use of the internet has really taken off in the last few years I hope that 23 Things will introduce me to things I haven't even heard of - and also help me to use things that I have. It seems like a gentle, unscary introduction to new things.Clarehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16817234480075827520noreply@blogger.com1
